Treyarch has kept the multiplayer details forCall of Duty: Black Ops II top secret. That's about to change soon though as the developer announced on Friday that it will unveil the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC shooter's multiplayer on Tuesday, August 7.
"Synchronize your watches and start the countdown!" exclaimed the developer on the Call of Duty: Black Ops Facebook page. "Only 4 days left until the worldwide reveal of Black Ops 2 Multiplayer."
While you may think that the multiplayer reveal for Black Ops II has been a long time coming, Treyarch waited until the beginning of September of 2010 to announce the multiplayer features of the original Black Ops. That was when we found out about new items such as Wager Matches, Theater Mode, Weapon Customizations and more.
It seems unlikely that Treyarch will announce anything for the ever-popular Zombies mode as the developer appears to prefer to make separate announcements for its co-op mode. However, there's always a chance they'll give the fans what we want.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be released November 13 on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
